The Authentic Zanzibar Spice Farm Tour

Do you know what Cinnamon looks like before it’s a stick?

Most people don’t. On this tour, you will walk through a lush, green plantation and discover the spices that put Zanzibar on the map.

The Sensory Experience:

This is not a “look but don’t touch” museum. You will:

  • Smell the fresh lemon grass.
  • Taste the fiery kick of fresh ginger.
  • See the “Lipstick Fruit” (and maybe try it on!).
  • Guess the spices as our guide crushes leaves for you to identify.

The Human Spider:

The highlight for many is the “Coconut Climber.” Watch a local farmer climb a 20-meter palm tree singing “Jambo Bwana,” cut down a fresh coconut, and open it for you to drink right there.

Lunch Included:

We finish with a traditional Swahili lunch cooked with the very spices you just discovered. (Pilau rice, curry, and spinach).
